Your Beast Life Now
Muscles are made in the kitchen.
You can lift for years and not see very much progress, if you’re not eating right to grow. The same is true for trying to lose weight. I can’t tell you how many stories I’ve heard or seen where overweight people spend hours doing cardio and don’t lose any weight after the first few weeks. The first thing you need to do is identify your body type.
Ectomorph– You have trouble gaining weight. You’re the skinny guy. You can eat all day, double fisting pizza and ice cream and never get fat. Your body just isn’t geared to store calories in either fat or muscle.
Endomorph– You have trouble losing weight. You’re the fat guy. If you even drive by a McDonalds, you gain 5 lbs. You can gain muscle pretty well, but your body fat hides it. You’re actually ideal for power lifting.
Mesomorph– The natural bodybuilder. You’ve always been the fairly lean and muscular guy, even with never working out. Your body stores protein, but not fat. You can effortlessly begin body building without crazy gimmicks or much intensity.
Now that you have a basic name for your body type and an understanding of how your metabolism works, let’s discuss how you can apply this to your beast life.
Mesomorph– Nothing. Stop reading this article. Fuck off. Choke on a dick and die. Nobody likes you, and if you haven’t already figured out how to take advantage of being one of the blessed few, then you probably are not fit to defend Western Civilization.
Ectomorph– You can make a really good bodybuilder, if you can discipline yourself to do it, because you’re already geared to being lean. A lot of fitness and physique models started off like you. Adding a little muscle to a super lean frame looks like a lot more than it actually is. When you lift, you need to concentrate on high volume. Make sure you lift with insane intensity. Push those reps out until you can’t do any more or until you puke. Get at least 1.5 grams of protein per pound of your body weight and tons of starchy carbs every day.
Ideal breakfast: Oatmeal, Whole milk, Eggs.
Lunch: Fully loaded baked potato, Half lb. Hamburger.
Recommended workout time.
Dinner: Spaghetti and meat balls.
Pre work out and post work out: Protein shake mixed with chocolate milk.
Snacks: Yogurt with berries, Cheese sticks.
Late night snack: Ice cream mixed with protein powder.
Endomorph– You make an ideal power lifter because the sport requires a lot of carbs. However, I encourage you to not be a fat teddy bear like so many people in the sport are. First, unless you’re shooting steroids, excess body fat over 30℅ will significantly lower your free testosterone. It’s like your body knows that you’re a fat shit, and you shouldn’t be mating. Second, being able to bench press 500 lbs is next to useless when it comes to self defense, if all your assailant has to do is outrun you or knock you on your fat ass and laugh as you roll around. You should limit carbs, and avoid starchy carbs. Lean protein is your daily goal at 1 gram per lb of your goal body weight. Drink nothing but water or coffee.
Ideal Breakfast: Eggs with 1 piece of Ezekiel toast or ½ cup oatmeal and milk.
Recommended work out.
Post work out shake mixed with water.
Lunch: 2 grilled chicken breast or tilapia. Substitute pan fried in olive oil or coconut oil for better flavor. Mixed salad with any low sugar dressing like Ranch. Red beans.
Dinner: Super lean Steak or Hamburger patty. Mixed vegetables with broccoli. Black beans.
Snacks: throughout the day pick at unsalted nuts, but do not eat handfuls. Atkins brand has a large variety of good tasting snacks that have low or no sugar.
Late night snack: 2 hard-boiled eggs with humus or 3 Brazil nuts.
Reward yourself with a cheat meal or a cheat day once a week. But the rest of the week stay disciplined.
The unfortunate thing about living the Beast Life is that it is a true life style. It takes much more than just hitting the gym and then wearing super tight t-shirts. As a life style, it will mean virtually every decision that you make during your day will involve it. However, once you start seeing the results of your work and dieting, you will find yourself wanting more and more, and the lifestyle becomes easier and even effortless.
Good Day Donner,
Talking about eating for lifting, one of the rules of thumb that I use, and which I always try to keep in mind, is the following: the more that the hands of Man have had to touch the food in order to get it ready, the less of it I should eat. Keeping this in mind makes sure I get my fruits and vegetables first, then lean meats, then a little bit of everything else. And it definitely makes sure fast food is last on the list (except for a cheat day)
And on a side-note, if the contributors to ‘Men of the West’ are interested, I myself have started a little website called ‘The Reconquista Initiative’; it is similar in theme and content to the ‘Men of the West’, so if you ever want to use something from the site, please feel free to do so.
