Labels, Lies, and the Status Quo

What is a Republican in 2022? What is a Democrat? What is a Socialist, a Capitalist, a Communist?

President In Name Only Joe Biden called half of America semi-fascists in his recent speech in Philadelphia. The Democrats have been throwing any label they can at their political opponents for a long time: sexist, racist, homophobe, bigot, deplorable, fascist, transphobe.

If anything is obvious to anyone paying attention, it’s that politicians and leets use labels to their advantage. They have no principles aside from selfishness and pursuit of power. If saying they are a Democrat will help them, they will say they’re a democrat. If claiming to be a Progressive or a Communist will give them advantage, they’ll say they’re a Progressive Communist. If they believe calling Americans fascists or deplorables will help their career, they will.

But it’s not just Democrats. Republicans use labels to their advantage, too.

Small government, family values, free markets, lower taxes. Theses are the words Republicans use to appease their base. But government keeps getting bigger. Republicans cheer when a tranny runs for political office as a Republican. See guys, we’re diverse, too! Corporations crush their competitors in the market, and Republicans just smile and wave, boys, smile and wave.

The reality is that 99% of Democrat and Republican politicians at the Federal level are at best useless and at worst, enemies of the people. There are a few in each party that truly want to help Americans, but they’re powerless to do so, or they are afraid. Either way, they’re ineffective and meaningless.

George Washington knew political parties and the labels that come with them were a problem way back in 1796.

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

George Washington’s Farewell Address (1796)

Our federal politicians are killing America. Nothing is going to change until the status quo crumbles. We need politics that focuses on Americans, not parties. The sooner we realize that, and the sooner we withdraw from the system, the better.

Below is a video from one of my favorite social commentators. Even the lefties are seeing that the current labels are meaningless. Enjoy.

After Joe Biden decried Republican loyalty to Donald Trump as “semi-fascism” I talk to Max Blumenthal from The Grayzone about the shifting policies of the Democrat and Republican parties, and ask “is The Left suffering from an identity crisis?”
